Description

A luxurious one-pan dinner featuring tender chicken breasts in a rich, herb-infused cream sauce, served over fluffy basmati rice. Perfect for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1½ cups basmati rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian herbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook basmati rice according to package instructions using chicken broth instead of water.
  • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and half of the Italian herbs. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add cream, remaining herbs, and simmer for 3 minutes. Return chicken to pan and cook for 5 more minutes until sauce thickens.
  • Serve chicken and sauce over rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, deglaze the pan with white wine before adding cream
  • Rice can be made ahead and reheated
  • Sauce can be made thicker by simmering longer
