Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp instant coffee granules
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
- Enough milk to achieve drizzling consistency (for glaze)
Instructions
- Warm the milk until hot but not boiling. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm milk and melted butter; mix until shaggy dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- In another bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and coffee granules. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle; spread softened butter over it and sprinkle with filling mixture.
- Roll up tightly from one edge into a log and slice into approximately 12 rolls. Place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Let rolls rise for another 30 minutes while the oven heats. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk to desired consistency. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
