Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup milk (lukewarm)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup pineapple juice (100% pure)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: Warm milk to lukewarm, sprinkle yeast on top, and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Create the dough: In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and pineapple juice. Stir until combined.
  3. Knead: Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  4. First rise: Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Add filling: Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter over it, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mix (combine sugar and cinnamon), then roll tightly.
  6. Slice & second rise: Cut into 12 pieces and place in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk to create a drizzle-worthy consistency; drizzle over cooled rolls.
