- 2 lbs beef steak (sirloin or tenderloin), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with water (for thickening)
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the steak and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
- In the crockpot, combine steak pieces, chopped onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, black pepper, and beef broth. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the steak is tender.
- Remove the steak bites from the pot. Mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth; stir into the remaining liquid to thicken.
- Cook uncovered on high for an additional 15 minutes until thickened. Return steak bites to coat in sauce and serve.
