  • 2 lbs beef steak (sirloin or tenderloin), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with water (for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the steak and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. In the crockpot, combine steak pieces, chopped onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, black pepper, and beef broth. Stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the steak is tender.
  4. Remove the steak bites from the pot. Mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth; stir into the remaining liquid to thicken.
  5. Cook uncovered on high for an additional 15 minutes until thickened. Return steak bites to coat in sauce and serve.
