Ingredients
  

Beans
  • 2 cans canned navy beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup bbq sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup bell pepper finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard yellow or Dijon
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained navy beans, BBQ sauce, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, brown sugar, mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
Baking
  1. Transfer the bean mixture into a baking dish.
  2. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  3. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, until the beans are bubbly and slightly caramelized on top.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Serve warm as a side dish to your favorite BBQ meats.
