Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
  3. In a bowl, mix all the dry rub ingredients together.
  4. Rub the dry mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Cook the Ribs
  1. Wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and place them on the grill.
  2. Cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature.
  3. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, unwrap the ribs and brush them with BBQ sauce.
  4. Continue to grill, basting with more sauce every 10 minutes until caramelized.
Serve
  1. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Slice between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

For best results, marinate the ribs with the dry rub overnight in the refrigerator.
