Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk can substitute with almond milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Cook the Pancakes
  1. Preheat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
  2. Using a ladle, pour batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Flip the pancakes and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.
Serve
  1. Serve warm with your choice of toppings such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
