Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk whole or buttermilk for extra flavor
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine the milk, beaten egg, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Cook the Pancakes
  1. Preheat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
  3. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
Serve
  1. Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or your favorite toppings.
