Ingredients
  

Beans and Base
  • 2 cans pinto beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup bacon chopped
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pot.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté until the onion is translucent.
Combine and Bake
  1. Stir in the drained beans, cooked bacon, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover with foil.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.
