Ingredients
  

Fruit Base
  • 2 cups fresh fruit such as strawberries, mangoes, or apples
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional, adjust based on fruit sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice to enhance flavor and preserve color

Method
 

Prepare the Fruit
  1. Wash and chop the fresh fruit into small pieces.
  2. Blend the fruit in a blender until smooth.
  3. Add honey and lemon juice, and blend again until combined.
Prepare for Drying
  1. Preheat the oven to 170°F (75°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Pour the fruit puree onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula.
Dry the Fruit Leather
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
  2. Bake for about 4-6 hours, or until the fruit leather is no longer sticky to the touch.
  3. Check periodically to ensure it doesn't over-dry.
Finish and Store
  1. Once dried, remove from the oven and let it cool.
  2. Cut into strips and roll them up in parchment paper for storage.
  3. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
