Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 2 cups fresh fruit (e.g., strawberries, mangoes, or apples) Choose ripe fruit for best flavor.
Sweetener
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Optional, adjust based on fruit sweetness.
Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice Helps to preserve color and adds flavor.

Method
 

Prepare the Fruit
  1. Wash and chop the fresh fruit into smaller pieces.
  2. If using apples, peel and core them before chopping.
Blend the Mixture
  1. In a blender, combine the chopped fruit, honey (if using), and lemon juice.
  2. Blend until smooth and well combined.
Prepare for Drying
  1. Preheat the oven to 170°F (77°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Pour the fruit puree onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly to about 1/8 inch thick.
Dry the Fruit Leather
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
  2. Let it dry for about 4-6 hours, or until the fruit leather is no longer sticky to the touch.
Cool and Cut
  1. Once dried, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let it cool completely.
  2. Cut the fruit leather into strips or desired shapes and store in an airtight container.
