Method
Prepare the Fruit
- Wash and chop the fruit into small pieces, removing any pits or stems.
Blend the Mixture
- In a blender, combine the chopped fruit, honey or maple syrup (if using), and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
Prepare the Baking Sheet
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
Spread the Mixture
- Pour the fruit puree onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula to about 1/8 inch thick.
Dry the Fruit Leather
- Preheat the oven to 170°F (77°C). Place the baking sheet in the oven and let it dry for about 3 hours, or until the fruit leather is no longer sticky to the touch.
Cut and Store
- Once dried, remove from the oven and let it cool. Cut into strips and roll them up in parchment paper for storage.
