Ingredients
  

Hot Dogs
  • 4 pieces hot dog sausages beef, pork, or turkey
  • 4 pieces hot dog buns soft, preferably whole wheat
Toppings
  • 1 cup chopped onions optional
  • 1 cup shredded cheese optional
  • 1 cup ketchup to taste
  • 1 cup mustard to taste
  • 1 cup relish to taste

Method
 

Grilling the Hot Dogs
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the hot dog sausages on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and grill marks appear.
  3. During the last minute of cooking, place the hot dog buns on the grill to toast lightly.
Assembling the Hot Dogs
  1. Remove the hot dogs and buns from the grill.
  2. Place each hot dog in a bun and top with desired toppings such as onions, cheese, ketchup, mustard, and relish.
  3. Serve immediately on a platter.
