Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, grated orange zest, ground cardamom, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter with the granulated sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time into the butter-sugar mixture, mixing well between each addition.
  5. Gradually stir in the fresh orange juice until well blended.
  6. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze.
