How to Make Sticky Apple Cider Chicken
- Heat the Oil: In a pan, warm up your olive oil over medium-high heat. This will create a lovely base for your chicken to get all crispy and browned.
- Sear the Chicken: Season your chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper. Add them to the hot pan and cook until they’re golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together the apple cider, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and honey.
- Simmer Away: Pour the glaze mixture over the seared chicken. Lower the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Make the Slaw: For the slaw, combine shredded cabbage, carrots, sliced apple, red onion, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a large bowl.
- Serve It Up: Dish out the sticky chicken and spoon the autumn slaw on the side for that perfect colorful presentation.
