Ingredients
  

Oreo Crust
  • 24 cookies Oreo cookies crushed
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
Filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream cold
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup whipped cream for topping
  • 2 tablespoons crushed peppermint candies for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Oreo Crust
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
  4. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool completely.
Make the Filling
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue to mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, then add the peppermint extract.
  5. Pour the filling into the cooled Oreo crust and smooth the top.
Chill and Serve
  1. Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until set.
  2. Before serving, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
  3. Slice and enjoy your peppermint pie!

Notes

For a stronger peppermint flavor, increase the amount of peppermint extract to 1.5 teaspoons.
