Method
Prepare the Oreo Crust
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool completely.
Make the Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue to mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, then add the peppermint extract.
- Pour the filling into the cooled Oreo crust and smooth the top.
Chill and Serve
- Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until set.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
- Slice and enjoy your peppermint pie!
