  • 1 cup soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, honey, black pepper, oregano, and thyme.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended.
  3. Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it.
  4. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor.
